EMME | education museums and migrant's experience is a training programme for museum educational workers to improve their skills in welcoming new- comers.

It involves different activities abroad based on the roles and functions performed by the various staff members, on-site feedbacks and reviews aimed at the design of educational paths with and for migrants and the drafting of educational materials that may be used by teachers, operators and volunteers.

GIORNATE DI FORMAZIONE E AGGIORNAMENTO PER IL PERSONALE DEI MUSEI.

Le Murate Progetti Arte Contemporanea, piazza delle Murate, Firenze

Nell’ambito di un percorso teso a una sempre più piena e inclusiva accessibilità del patrimonio culturale – sostenuto dalla Regione Toscana, dalla Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze e con un contributo del Programma ERASMUS+ - i Musei di Fiesole, i Musei Civici Fiorentini con MUS.E, il Museo degli Innocenti, la Fondazione Primo Conti, il Complesso Monumentale di Santa Maria del Fiore con Stazione Utopia, propongono al personale dei musei due giornate di formazione e aggiornamento sulla relazione fra patrimonio e immigrati.
Durante le giornate saranno indagati da una parte i temi storici, artistici e simbolici connessi alle culture extra-europee, individuando temi ed elementi artistici comuni alle civiltà del Mediterraneo, dall'altra affrontati le tematiche relative ai bisogni di formazione e apprendimento, le proveniente e le aspettative degli stranieri residenti in Italia.

The project activities consisted of 5 working days aimed at knowing and sharing good practices on programmes aimed at including newcomers into the museums as cultural mediators. The Multaka project, launched in 2015 by State Museums of Berlin and addressed to Syrian communities resident represents a model to study and to develop.

The project activities consisted in participating into the international congress promoted by Fundación General Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Consortium Musacces. During these days in the framework of EMME we presented the AMIR - accoglienza, musei, inclusione, relazione project. AMIR was recognised by the "cultural heritage preservation, protection and dissemination activities to all people: Pioneering initiatives to expand access and preserve cultural heritage to all people, including the inclusive tourism and entertainment realm" award.

British museum -  Meetings with Jo-Anne Sunderland, ESOL Programme Manager and Sophie Dave, BM ESOL Teacher to discuss about community and Esol (English for Speaking of Other Languages) programs. Since 2004 British Museum has develloped programmes to facilitate the English learning for adults speaking other languages. Visits to learning and community department of Horniman Museum, V&A Museum, Migration Museum and Wallace Collection to know their foreigneirs community programs
